Default I'm having my alloys refurbed!

Yes, onMonday 12th November I'm taking my rims to KN Wheels, Ketley, Telford, UK

Quoted me approx £30 per wheel.

Each wheel will bechemically stripped / blasted / treated, primed, painted and laquered - 7 to 10 days turn round.

I'll let you see the results.

I'm also going to fit a new set of tyres after refurband will probably stick with the stock stuff - Pirelli P6000 Powergy.

Anyone got any alternative suggestions?

Thats a good price andthe best way to go getting them blasted and powder coated...just make sure they dont put on too many layers of powder coating otherwise you could in extremem cases end up with problems with the wheel nuts coming loose.

Hey Kenzed, Buck makes a really good point.

Thats exactly what I did when I first got the X around a year or so ago. I refurbed the alloys and drove home etc, The wife then took the car to the shopping centre and called to complain of a " wobble"
Turned out after only 15 miles or so the wheel nuts had worked loose.......really loose!!!![&:]

If you do get it done tighten them and then drive a short distance, maybe 2-3 miles and then re- tighten and check after a further 50 miles or so to be safe

Sounds like a good price you got there bud.....go for it

Jim
