Felpro Plenum Gasket Set . Part No MS 96494

Set of 6 gaskets, PLUS the two water passage o-rings.

I picked up a set at Advance Auto today for $13 US!

 

Let us know if these fit, please. I am doing my plugs in about a month, and I was wary about the fel pro set as I remember reading that the piston rings they sell didn't match on the x type.

 

Fit like they grew there! The blue looks a little different from the green that was there, but other than the color, can't tell them apart!

 

Just be careful changing colors. The color has significance in what the gasket is made of. In this case, it is probably fine as the material is rated for up to 400F. But, you get something with too low of a temperature rating and you can really make a mess of things in a heartbeat.

 

According to the engineer I chatted with, one step up the foodchain from the green, three up from the original yellow. +700º to -40º, fulltime exposure to 400º.
