Default Interior lining

I the interior lining ( the material like the headliner ) on the left and right side of the windshield is coming loose on the windshield side. I believe I understand this is common on 2004 x-type, not sure of other models or years. I would like to fix it up. Is something easily done? Any tips / tricks? Recommendations for having it fixed professionally or not? Any round about pricing from outside? If it's easy enough I'd rather do it myself.

you can recover these panels yourself; the panels just (gently) pull away from the pillar but there is a clip on a chord that holds them so this must be disengaged. Obvious once you pull the panel. You strip the damaged fabric and replace with new, glued on. It is a very tight fit at the base where it meets the windshield, but there will be no problem.

My headliner is starting to unglue across the top of the windshield and both front pillars. But for a car in Florida almost seven years old, I would expect this about now. I'm not going to mess with it until after my transfer case or prop shaft noise issue gets solved. (Wishful thinking. . .)

Who would have thunk it? My wife went back to her craft room and got a can of Elmer' s Craft Bond spray adhesive and fixed the headliner where it was peeling off above the windshield and on both pillars. It's holding like a dream and you wouldn't have known there was ever a problem. You can get this at Wal-Mart in the craft section. Next weekend I will give her a crack at fixing my transfer case!
