Since this has been such a great resource over the years for me and it has stayed hosted all this time I wanted to provide a mirror for it as well.Download JCD-1.zip SHASum for JCD-1.zip: 84ff34c5a5521a7bc5760e6624c45b728a285e84

If anyone needs help hosting or wants to provide Jag related files let me know.

Well I was looking for the JEPC, whops but will leave this hosted as well.

Dear Webmaster - I just spent time typing a lengthy narrative of my experience getting JTIS to completely function including the outdated program help files on a Windows 10 machine. Apparently, because of inactivity, I got booted (signed out) so when I went to hit post - well, it all went away. Maybe I'll attempt to tell this another day but for now---just frustrated that the website would do this.

Charbinjr
I have a lot of experience writing the procedures to install JTIS software.
I found that it is easier to use MS Word to create the installation procedures with all the required text & photos needed and then use Word "Save As" PDF for file option.

Then you have all the procedures in a PDF file format that you copy all the text and images to your post or just insert the PDF file in your post.

here is some text that I copied from my PDF file and put in this post:

Overcoming the problems with installing JTIS (32 bit software application

Thanks Jim. I used your PDF to help walk me through the procedure. Worked nicely with patience. I was trying to add to your amazing work by adding what I learned while trying to actually get the help files in JTIS to function. I was successful.
Thanks for your important research.

IXLLER8 - Frank
Use the dropbox.com weblinks in post 164 - near bottom of the post are the weblinks for part1, part2 and part3.

Hi Tinsletown
What part of the JTIS do you mean that did not work?
Need to know more information about where the problem might be.
Is it downloading the files (part1.exe, part2.rar, part3.rar) or putting the 3 files into the same folder - or getting some kind error code when running part1.exe

Did you follow all the steps in the JTIS21 install PDF file?

What windows operating system are you trying to install the JTIS21 software?

Hello, the program downloaded and installed perfectly. When I run the program in comes up but as soon as i try to do anything the application says "JJTIS MFC applications has stopped working" and closes. It just says a problem has caused the program to stop working.

I first installed in on windows 10 64 bit, had troubles, made a post and got directed to your thread about how to install the DAO file, which now I don't think was my problem. I did that, no changes.

I then created a second partition with windows 8.1 32 bit and it does the exact same thing. As important as this manual is to me I then wiped my hard drive and install only windows 8.1 32 bit and it still does the exact same thing.

I downloaded it a couple different times from a couple different sites and to no avail still not working. I downloaded the all the manuals from one site, just the xj8 file from one site so you can see how i am pretty stumped

Got it working flawlessly now. My stupid butt didnt pay attention during install. I had to go into the DAO folder for disk 1 and do the setup there.

Yes, that error message is caused by not installing the do350.dll file successfully.

I have seen this issue before.
Looks like you have not registered the dao350.dll.

I purposely skipped registering the dao350.dll to see what would happen.
I ran the setup.exe in the jtis21 folder and rebooted the PC.

When the PC finished the restart, I ran the JTIS shortcut. When I tried the Service menu for model selection I had the following results:

there were no models listed and there was this popup error message
"JJTISMFC Applicaion has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly"
"Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

There are so many threads on this issue, many years ago now, I considered JTIS a dead horse. I miss it so much!!!! I gave up trying to install it on windows 10 a long time ago, but have to do some more wrenching.

I start looking for stuff, and it's like fixing a virus, so much useless outdated junk about JTIS.

Was there ever a definitive fix for windows 10 pro? If so, is there a link that can direct me to this.

Yeah, I got one, so that's it. I remember when autocad first came out. It had competition from generic cadd. Generic cad was 50 bucks cheaper. I got that one. Then after about 5 years, autocad bought out generic cad to kill it off. We used it until the driver technology exceeded the software capability.

Default Original CD

Have the CD, came with the car when I acquired it. Tried accessing the info. Given it's age it will only work with MS 16 bit system. There is a MS app that helps with 32 bit systems. Would like to get the info. Given the age of this thread, anyone able to get the JTIS file? I have a MY 2001 K8 convertible.

I got all the JTIS CDs when I worked at the dealer and the last one (JTIS 21) 'timed out' on January 1 of some year in the early 2000s when I came back to work after the NEW YEAR. We were told to 'log-in' to the server in England to access the shop manual.
I just reverted to JTIS 20 and went on with my life unless a newer car I was working on was not on the JTIS disc.(then I logged in to the UK server)
Just get an old laptop or desktop with anything up to and including Windows 7 32 bit.
I keep several XP 32 bit computers for running the old Jaguar programs I got when working at the dealer.

Bob, if you get tired of keeping those old laptops around you can create a VM, virtual machine, on a modern laptop and have the VM run Windows XP or any old version you need. I did this last year for some software that didn't work on a Windows 10 computer. I downloaded a program called VirtualBox but I'm sure there are others, find the operating system install, and with a few clicks you are able to run the old operating system and install any old software you want. The VM is just a file you run like any other, double click and you are transported back in time to Win XP 32 bit desktop, file manager, control panel, etc. I was nervous about it but it turned out to be painless.
