Don't know what an EPC is, but the AIR CLEANER is the thing that says "Jaguar V6" on it.

Would removing the intake resonator give me a faster throttle response and make my car sound louder? Also, how difficult is it to remove? Thanks

disguay, as for adding power, it isn't going to do anything. If there is a gain, you are looking at under 1 hp. THe sole purpose of the resonator is to act as a surge volume for the incoming air to minimize intake air noise. You can remove the piece and then cover over the opening with some tape or other suitable plug.

ANy other "gains" would be not seen. As long as the piece is still functioning properly, I would not mess with it. The biggest gain that you are going to get is more intake noise as you open up the throttle.

Thermo, I was curious about the gain in noise, so what I did was took a video of what it sounded like with and without the resonator. After I plugged it, I found that there wasnt that much of a difference, but I decided it was so easy, that I would just try it. As soon as the video uploads, I will post a thread about it soon, more as just a bulletin to how pointless removing it is.
