Default JaguarXP

What are your guys experience on ordering with them? I've ordered my upper mesh grille, clear sidemarkers, and jaguar tire valves from them and the items came within a month. But my girlfriend ordered me the XP Performance Intake Kit and the lower mesh grille back in the beginning of November 2007 for Christmas delivery and we have yet to receive it.

We both contacted JaguarXP customer service and of course wehave been getting the runaround. The last email on Monday stated that I should be receiving the item in two business days.

Hopefully its on my door step by end of this week. I'm not holding my breath though.

Sorry to hear that bro...hopefully it comes in soon...do they have a fix for the intake so your check engine light doesn't come on? I've heard that was supposed to be fixed but everyone that has the intake gets the same results...???

I wouldn't mind getting the intake if it actually yields more power. I'd hate to spend nearly $200 for an intake the produces minimal results.

Look at it this way...the intake's make a nasty snarly intaky sound...I bet it'd sound great with the purr of the engine combined with the borla!

I dont see the point of an intake for the x-type, unless its the XK, hardly any good results unless your hitting redline, thats when you see the difference

There's an X-Type XK????? Although I know what you meant, even the S-Type can take advantage of an aftermarket intake system, as the stock setup is very restrictive in order to reduce noise. An attempt by Jaguar to keep your Jaguar from roaring like she should

You aren't making any power once you hit redline, and not to mention you'll bounce off the limiter, so that wouldn't make sense either. The difference with a non restrictive air intake, preferably a cold air intake, is to increase the amount of cool air entering the engine for fuel combustion.

The X-Type's intake system does not look to be as restrictive as most stock intake systems I've seen, as it does pull air from an excellent location. However, plastic isn't exactly the best material to use for an intake system. However, car manufacturers have been using plastic for years because it's cheap...

a less restrictive intake WILL produce more hp and tq. All intakes produce between 5-15 hp and thats at the fly. So is the mod worth it? Sure it will help your mpg and improve hp. Its one of the few mods that can be done to a car that does both.

I dropped in a K&N...But I chissled and ground out all the baffeling in the cover to make the air flow less restrictive..Maybe a placebo affect, butI noticed a little improvement in pickup
