I need help finding what is the frequency for the fob on a jaguar X-type 2005 sport wagon made for Japan
I'm trying to get an extra one from eBay but I get different answers online some say 433 MHz some say 315 MHz
Does anyone has the answer thanks

 

Hi Hector

First you would need to check the VIN number within this long string of letters & numbers is the country the vehicle was manufactured for along with engine size and the factory ware the vehicle was built. along with the build year . This will also confirm the security system frequency. You should be able to find a VIN decoder on this web site.

433 MHz is used for rfid on international shipments in Japan as the sole use of the band; 315/340 are used for remote devices by law.

 

This has 315 Mhz but says except Japan

This says Region 2 315 Mhz is for Japan, so is the Region 2 an important bit?
