I saw in a sticky a link to the handbook and read a section on using a phone and the use of the phone. However, the car didn't come with a phone.

Will these features work on our modern cell phones like a bluetooth link?

Hoping to get some clarity on these buttons/features.

 

From what I understand you need the module for the phone button to work. Not sure of the price but someone else will chime in for ya..

In my other car I have the parrot bluetooth and it works really well.

 

I think the cars came prewired after 2004??
You would also need the mic as well as the module, the wiring, a different D2b cable to connect the bluetooth module into the d2b system.
Not sure about the voice module too????

 

i have an 02 and it seems there is only the number pad but no phone functionality.

 

I believe there is functionality in all models including the number pad and phone option, reason being it doesnt work leads me to believe that you need contact jaguar and setup the phone line via them... IIRC jaguar had an otional motorola phone that was able to link up to the incar system allowing functionality but it was only available via jaguar not any other CPSP (cell phone service providers)
