I cannot remove the key from the ignition.

 

This happened to me..Don't force remove it..take it to the dealer and they'll have to replace the whole switch..but if you remove the key you may not get it back in and they'll have to drill the switch to get the assembly out...it'll save some labor costs

 

It could be as simple as just having to turn the steering wheel to take the load off the steering lock, then removing the key

 

You can also try spraying a little lubricant in around the key.
