Leaper
aibeekay, unfortunately, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You can try sending a PM to "ken@britishparts.com" (member here) and see what sort of deal he can work up for you. He will treat you right and make sure you get the part you need at a decent price or you can do the leg work yourself and try a website called http://www.jaguarparts.com. I have used them (along with some other members) with good results. The Jaguarparts.com site is actually a Jaguar dealership based out of Cleveland Ohio. They have good prices, especially for a dealership. May not be what you are willing to spend, but you won't find much lower. They sell the leaper for $185 (plus S&H) where the list price is $218. There's some new ones on E-bay for $149 (plus S&H). There are some used ones on e-bay for cheap (starting at $10 for the moment).
Option number 2 is to remove the remaining part of your Leaper on the hood and replace it with one of the round badges from off of a newer Jag. The badges cover up all the holes left in the hood from the leaper and will cost you much less. The problem there is you won't have the leaper on the hood.
The trick will be finding a leaper at a price you are willing to spend. Unfortunately, this is one of those "costs" associated with owning a Jag. The pieces cost a little more. But, if you play, you gotta pay. The trick is not getting robbed.

Thanks Thermo and Disco stu55. I will try to get with the website, check ebay and send Ken an email to see what i can work out. Might resolve to the badge if i dont get anything reasonable. The perils of owning a kitty!!!
I just bought the kitty and the previous hood was damaged. I just got a new hood, bumper cover, radiator core support and will be getting da passenger's side headlights replaced too. The hood i got doesn't have the leaper on it. I would just love to get the leaper to go on the new hood since it makes the kitty's look complete.

I paid 125 for the bumper cover...it was a steal compared to the other prices i was getting quoted for!!! I bought it from some junkyard...Its been a hassle trynna get all the parts i wanted together...a real pain in da butt!!!
125 bucks are ****ing kidding me, the people that quatoed me said im looking at 2300 bucks, what the eff man. Does anybody know where i might be able to find a bumper cover this cheap, around town we only have the american and japnese cars.
Disco, while it isn't quite that cheap, you can get a brand new one through http://www.jaguarparts.com for $637 (plus S&H). Then you would need to take it to a paint shop to be painted. So, probably for around $1000 you could have a brand new bumper cover that would be ready for you to install.
If you are interested in looking at the bumper, then go to the above site, put in the info for your car, then on the left side select "front bumper", then "bumper and components", then "bumper cover" and finally "W/o lamp wash". Tada. You might even be able to talk to the dealership and they would be able to send you the bumper freshly painted none the less (for an additional fee). How much, don't know.
The best thing that I can tell you to do is to either keep an eye on E-bay and keep looking or go to one of the American junkyards in your area and tell them that you want them to do a search for a part and then have them look up the front bumper cover. That will trigger them to get on to their computer and look at what is in the junkyards across the US. There might be a bumper cover near you that you could run over and grab. Hard to say what you may find and what condition it will be in. If you were near me, I would look for one at a local yard that specializes in european cars for you.

thats all and great, but i live in canada, what i meant to say was all the cars up here are all amercian car parts and stuff, not american as in i live in the us. Sorry about the miscommunication.
2300???? are you serious??? thats ridiculous. Just call your local junkyards and im sure someone has got that part for way cheap. The initial price i got quoted for was around 200 bucks. So 125 at the end of the day was a great deal for me
