LED's
I did a search but the results were other forums and I didn't know if the x type headlights were different from the other models.
I am looking at upgrading front and back lights to LED's in my 2004 3.0, does anyone know where I can find the replacement LED's and how difficult it might be.
Thanks

Rossy, the big thing that I will tell you to do is to find out the style of bulb that is in your car right now. If you go to a place like E-bay, you can type in the style bulb and LED with it and you will get all sorts of options for LED replacements.
With this being said, it is my experience that the SMD (Surface Mount Diode) LED bulbs are good for the first year, but after that start giving you problems, especially if you go with the cheap ones. The solder will start to corrode and you run into issues with electrical connection and in short, the lights will not work unless you pull them out and resolder everything. This is one of those things that you are going to get what you pay for.
Let me know what lights you are looking to upgrade and how bright you want them to be and I can probably find a few that will meet your needs.

Do you know of any bulbs that I can use that will give me that crisp white light?

I used white LED CREE bulbs in my reverse lights, license plate lights and running lights in the high beam housings and they have been going for over a year now with no issues. They are more expensive but its been worth it.
Used the cheaper ones before and they burn out within months sometimes weeks.

Rossy, look at the ratings of the LED bulbs. Somewhere they will say something to the effect of "Color: 6500K". Anything in the 5000-7000K range will have the white light like you are after. You may even notice that getting up near 7000K the lights will start getting a blue tint to them. So, as close to 6000K is ideal. You get down around 4300K and the lights will start turning a yellow color on you.

Electric Side mirrors
Annoying electric side mirrors stuck and a lot of resistance due to gunk inside . X350 from 2003 has 205000 mile so no wonder . Took the passenger side of first , plastic and rubberseal ,cables and conectors are quite ok but the whole aluminum base inside is literally falling apart . Had like a 1/3 of a whisky glass full of white powder and pieces brushed of of it.. EACH SIDE. The floor lightS and the electric motors are still working
passenger mirror does work now but I guess it is time to get replacements soon .
The base is so deteriorated that the whole assembly does not even fit correctly anymore, so more dust ,salt and water will enter not making it ay better
I USED BALLISTOL to repell and oil it
