remove current manual climate module ( one knob and small screen) unplug the black and white plugs, plug the black and white plugs into rccm and slide rccm down
beside the carpet covers on centre console.

That easy well thank you sir - not done the work as yet but this is encouraging in a situation fraught with
what if's as I strive to prepare the upgrade of a none Sat Nav vehicle.

Do you also know where the bluetooth module is situated. I have noticed people talk of two locations - one at the front inside the dash and the other in the boot with the Nav CD. I am not fitting the voice control or the 6 x CD exchanger although I have them. I am going to run three cables into the boot area front to rear - the Main Sat Nav loom & the bluetooth lead & fibre optic - would you consider this appropriate?

Looking at your bluetooth module it appears different from mine - I have a silver box like module. Where are you running your module from to its pictured location under the arm rest ?

the bluetooth module in the boot will be silver and plugs into the phone loom, that connects under the rear seat to the car loom. it also has a long cable that goes under the carpet to the center console and plugs into the BTUM unit as shown in the photos. check your silver module has 4US marked on it. if not its a GSM phone module.

Latter cars had a black plastic phone module that supports four bluetooth phones and does not need the BTUM unit

That really clarifies the situation I am most grateful for this input. Having been looking at doing this upgrade for sometime no one else has mentioned this in quite
the same depth.

Hi Thank you very much for the pictures showing connectivity. I am most grateful for all your effort on my behalf. I await delivery of various
parts, looms & modules. I shall in the first place set the proposed mod up on my workbench and test out the system making sure I have all
necessary parts & connectors before actually installing in the car. You mentioned that the later models had a bluetooth connection to 4 phones and
did not need the BTUM unit installed - do you know at what year this upgrade came in on?
