Default Loses power whilst driving - engine cuts out

Hi peeps
I'm new
I have a problem when driving on various roads. It starts with what feels like the engine missing a beat and then loses power, ignition coil light illuminates, throttle is unresponsive. - It then stalls a few seconds later with all the engine warning lights coming on and has resulted in several buttock-clenching moments during motorway drives where I have had to perform unscheduled stops!

After ten mins or so the engine restarts and the car drives for approx. 15 mins only to go through the whole performance again.

My local garage have detected a fault with the aircon that is setting off numerous other faults including fuel supply pressure which they think is the cause of the issue. The aircon unit has been regassed and still the fault remains. Currently they are upto replacing the aircon pressure sensor which they believe will resolve this.

Does anyone have any thoughts, or similar experiences close to this - I'd be interested to hear about them.
Thanks for reading
Ben

You don't say car details and are in the wrong forum as well

Repost in the right one, with car info

Take it somewhere else. An Air conditioning problem is not going to cause your engine to lose throttle response. Post any codes that you know the car has stored.

Baxter, thanks for the post. It is a 2.2 diesel,. I'll tell the garage to look at that. I'll let you know how I get on!
