Default Maintenance - Control arm bushings

Hi forum -

Last year, while replacing my suspension, I replaced most control arms and sway bar linkage. When I asked my mechanic if the front lower control arm bushings needed replacing, he said no, that they looked fine.

I need to drop the front sub-frame again, this time to install a new sway bar and bushings, and am considering replacing the front lower control arm bushings (I'd replace the whole arm), in spite of what my mechanic said. I find it hard to believe that all the other suspension bushings were toast (and clearly they were toast) but that this arm bushings are fine. Is my thinking wrong here?

Anything else I should do while I have the sub-frame down, such as motor mounts? (I'd like to keep this car for a while.)

My "A frame/ball joint" looked good on passenger side and all rubber was toast when I removed it as the driver's side was squeaking and did both for good measure.

Here's the best advice I got from a member in replacing this part. When you drop the sub frame REVERSE the bolts on the arm so you never have to drop the sub frame again. Mine turned into a nightmare with the "captive nut" within the body that the subframe bolt tightens into broke free and couldn't be removed. I documented it in another post if interested.

Reverse this bolt from bottom up with NUT on top.
