Peter, all of those codes are dealing with issues relating to the body. Let me get home and look up the codes directly from the chart that I have. You may see other references to engine misfires or other similar stuff. This would be applicable to other manufacturers of cars, not Jaguar.
I remember WDS used to indicate Bxxxx at times when the DTCs should have been Pxxxx codes. (don't know why?)
Just substitute a P for the B and keep diagnosing.
You will NOT be able the clear a P1582 without a WDS, IDS or similar as it takes a trip to the 'special applications' section of the diagnostic menu to read and clear Engine Data Recorder info.
A triggering event remains recorded in the ECM until cleared or overwritten by a later event.
Peter, like was said, those are not Bxxxx codes. The body codes start at B1200 and go up from there for the X-type. If you make the assumption that they are really Pxxxx codes, then they tell me that you have a problem with your car overheating and that your fan control module is fried and needs to be replaced.
If you tell us what is going on with your car, maybe we can help confirm what you are seeing and/or diagnose the car and prevent you from just replacing parts, hoping that our guess is correct.
Below are the definitions from the tech manual. Note they are P codes as MOTORCARMAN stated sometimes P codes show up as B codes.
Currenty you are running in "restricted performance" mode. That's why the yellow light and rpm limitation. Either the fan control module, coolant temperature sensor or the ECM are operating with wrong data and restricted performance is minimizing engine damage.
The first step is to delete the codes and then drive a few cycles until check engine light returns. It is the only way to tell what codes are current and what codes were prior resolved problems.
The fan control modules are a known problem with failure.
Delete , drive and recheck codes. Then post them so we can help further.
pinchas770, I would guess that what is happening is that you have taken it to a shop that does not have a code reader specifically for a jaguar and they have connected a code reader for a different make car and it is giving you erroneous information. Hence the confusion that we are having (there are numerous protocals for the data streams and this can lead to some interesting data streams if the wrong one is used).
Now, with you saying that you are having a bad misfire condition and this is resulting in the "Cruise Not Available" message and the car being limited to 3000 RPM (which will also cause the car to say "Cruise Not Available"), I would tell you from past experience from the members here, odds are, you are looking at oil in the plug wells. Specifically, you are looking at oil in the plug wells on the back side of the car. This is a common issue with the 2.5/3.0L engines. Now ,the question becomes whether you want to fix this yourself or pay a shop to do it. The job is not hard, but you can plan on it taking a few hours to do. If you want to get a price quote from a local shop, ask them how much it would be to: 1) have new spark plugs put into your car, and, 2) have the rear valve cover gaskets replaced. You have to remove all the same stuff to do both jobs. So, they should only charge you labor for one and then say another half hour/full hour for the other job. Granted, you can probably plan on spending say $600 USD to get it done.
Just for reference, if you are having misfire issues, you should be getting P030X codees (where X is the cylinder that is misfiring). You may also see P0300 which is a general misfire condition and P1314 and/or P1316 codes (misfires on banks 1 and/or 2 that can lead to damage to the catalytic converter).
Mmmmmmmmm......yyyyeeeeeaaaahhhhh......rescan with a different obd reader, even a $10 ELM does it, dollars to donuts you get a completely different set of codes.
