I understand the reason originally for the lack of the hood (bonnet) leaper there in the UK was due to some crazy .."Thou shalt not impale pedestrians" law...Correct me if I'm wrong.

We have crazy laws too..for instance..if a inmate is on death row and he is due for execution, but comes down with a cold or flu just before the blessed event, they have to nurse him back to health before thay can kill him..go figure..OH!, they have to wipe his arm with alcohol before they stick the needle in, so he don't get an infection before he dies...

 

They're everywhere mate.............I remember Clint Eastwood when he was mayor of Carmelle I think?

It was an offence to walk hand in hand after midnight in the centre of town on the first Thursday of the month punishable by 30 days in jail......lol

Dennis, you know me, I can't believe we still handout medieval punishments like the death penalty. But we won't go there. Crazy, crazy laws.

The one I always chuckled about was when the EPA forced the Air Force to convert all the feron in America's nuclear war heads from R12 to R134A to protect the environment. hmmm?

 

just bought one today to replace leaper. Its a different look i will try for a while.

 

If I'm not mistaken, this law actually started in England and it becamewhat is known as today as, "The Rule of Thumb"

 

Ken my friend, I respect your views, as I'm sure they are deep rooted in your personal faith and beliefs..Admirable to say the least..But there are unfortunately good reasons for the death penalty and I wish to have a civil and meaningful point vs point discussion with you sometime about it..Being in law enforcement, I've seen some stuff that wouldsicken the devil himself...perhaps at another time and different thread..it could open both our eyes.

BTW, I'm 5 up on you now, so you got a little catchin up to do..
