Default ODB2 not communicating

Hi, I have a problem with the ODB2 port not communicating, both at a local garage and at home. I found a previous thread that suggested checking the power on pins 6 and 16, and checking fuses. pin 6 showed 4.5v, but pin 16 shows zero. The thread showed fuses 80 and 72 for the ODB2 port, but this was for a 2001-2003 model, what are the equivalent fuses for a 2005 model 2.0 Diesel? Does anyone have any further suggestions?

Thanks,

Richard

16 should be batt+ but did you put ignition on fully?

You can look up the pins on the net BTW.

Hi, thanks for answering.
I had the engine running when I checked the voltages.
I found F7, F25 and F32 are for on-board diagnostics, checked these, but they were fine.
Regards,
Richard

Well, you know you've a fault on at least one pin.
