Default oil drain plug size ---help

Can someone please tell me the size and thread for the oil pan drain plug. Mine is all rounded off, I need a new one, and I need to get one before I take the old one out. Help please????????

I had the same problem. The size is 12 x 1.75.

Don't know about thread, but the bolt itself is 13mm. I wouldn't just go buy a bolt at a hardware store. The Jaguar bolt has an integrated rubber gasket, and extra wide base. They're really cheap to buy at the Jaguar dealer - it's only a few dollars.

Just buy it there and avoid the risk of damaging your pan, developing an oil leak, etc.
