Default P0443 code

My 06 x-type is giving a code of P0443. I have one of those bode traders that links to my cell phone and don't really know if it's that good or not. The code states that is the evap solenoid. can anyone tell me if this is true and if so can anyone tell me where the solenoid is located thanks in advance.

springer, I was having issues with my purge valve. I found that if I removed it and cleaned it out with some carb cleaner, all was better. In your case, the solenoid that you are after is on top of the gas tank near the rear diff. So, to get access will probably require dropping the tank atleast partially to give yourself some more room.

springer, the valve in question is called a "purge valve". It is Jaguar part number C2G2403. As for the valve being interchangeable with a Ford F-150, I would be very doubtful it would be.
