I'm having trouble (along with my non-Jag) mechanic in identifying the cooling hose part numbers (see picture) for my X-Type.

It seems like this configuration was only on some (2.1 V6) vehicles, not all...I wonder if anyone can shed light on this for me?

The rubber hoses are old and need replacing....

Wigneys 2086, I just had a close look at that hose on my 2.1 and it has a part number on it. 2X43-15128-AD. I googled that number and it appears to be the correct one. Good luck.

What exactly is the difference between this specified C2S16876 and a generic bit of water hose from a radiator shop?

Hi...there is a small offset, maybe 12-15mm in the hose, I suspect to keep it away from the engine (?)...cheers, Steve.
