This is my repair project #2 on recently purchased 2002 X-Type.

The map light button on the passenger side is jammed down in the "ON" position (see photo below). Are the individual light buttons repairable?

If so, can anyone talk me through the repair?

 

I don't think you will have much luck fixing the light assembly, but cheap ones are for sale on e-bay all the time. Mine was giving me all sorts of intermittent problems and a new/used $40 light assembly fixed it. Quick easy repair that only took about 30 seconds to swap out.
