Question Please help! aftermarket back box for a 2.0 X-type.

Hoping someone could please help me. I'm after an aftermarket back box for my 2002 2.0 X-type. It's a single exit (Left side) and all I can seem to find are the twin exit exhaust systems for the 2.5 & 3.0. I would really appreciate it if someon could point me in the right direction. Cheers, L17LED.

Daniel,
I presume you are in the UK having the 2.0 petrol (try adding your location into your profile!) ??
I have never seen an aftermarket exhaust for yours eg on ebay (not that I have been specifically looking) so you would have 2 options:-
1) A New tailpipe (cover) to alter the look at the back
2)Custom backbox with choice of tailpipe cover. Mijperformance in Birmingham (UK) (they have a website) offer custom backboxes and/or exhausts with over 40 tailpipe designs and every exhaust is made to measure. You pick how loud or quiet you want it and have a choice of around 40 tailpipes.Used them for my quads on my X type and you get a lifetime guarantee.Other companies also do similar.
Good luck
(PS Seen you're in UK from Focus parked infront of you from your album pic)

l17LED, try taking a look at http://www.jaguarparts.com. They are a dealership here in the US (Cleveland, Ohio), but they should be able to get you the part you are after. I can't say how much the shipping will be. But, price wise, I think they will be just about as cheap as you can get for factory parts. But, then, the shipping to get the part to you may negate any savings. Don't know. You can atleast give them a try. The only other thing that you can do is to find a local wrecking yard/auto recycler near you and see what they can do for you. They should be able to get you the part you are after.

Cheers BuckMR2 and Thermo. Looks like it's going to have to be a custom exhaust. Birminghams a bit far though. Lol. I'm in Newcastle. Actually BuckMR2 my dad bought your old sub from you for his X-type. Small world. I used to have a friend who made all my exhausts but some scumbag broke into his garage and stole all his tools including his pipe bender, that was the end of that. Cheers anyway.

Theres a place in Newburn who do custom exhausts opposite Bassmechanix behind B+Q on an industrial estate, also Leeds.
Im 8 miles from Newcastle and it is a long way to Birmingham but worth it
Your dad seems very keen on his X Type and showed me the mods he had done.....get him on the forum as well

Forgot to say they are mainly a classic car restorer/builder but do exhausts too.
