On my x-type 03 plate 2.5ltr jag, i had to disconnect the battery and once reconnected the radio requested my pin code, being v lazy i didnt go upstairs to get the paperwork so tapped in the pin i thought i had remembered 3 times, the hand book tells u to wait 30mins if u've done this and the stereo will reset itself and u can try another 3 pins. mine wont reset tho! any ideas PLEASE

 

Rory, I would say to first go upstairs and get the PIN number. Then, disconnect the battery again and wait a few minutes. Then, reconnect the battery and attempt to re-enter the pin. If it will not accept a PIN at that point, then it sounds like you are making a trip to the dealership to have them unlock the radio. Make sure to bring proof of ownership for the car. They will not touch the radio without that.
