I agree with your "garish" comment. I certainly don't want to be the jerk who's shining 6K in eveyone's eyes as I ride down the road.

One of the advantages of installing these in my parking garage is that directly across from me is another row of parked cars (parked facing me). During the the install, I would go over and position my head at about the correct height of an oncoming driver and, honestly, these lights are very much positioned correctly. Where the lights look glaring, or garish, in the pics I posted above it is because they were taken while I was sitting on the floor about 5 feet from the car.

Took them out last night for the first time, gotta say quite a difference. Great investment/upgrade for our cars.

I had upgraded both my low and high beams to HID. 100Watts from the stock 35Watts. The problem I ran into was that in 2 months I had to replace 3 bulbs. So I just reverted the low beams back to stock...as long as your bulbs hold on, you're all set
