potential x-type new owner

potential x-type new owner
Greetings all. Looking at the potential purchase of a 2006 x-type wagon. Always liked the looks of the x-types and my wife loves the look. And now that we have 10 month old twins need a suitable baby hauler that gets better gas mileage than our Explorer.
Been doing a lot of helpful reading on this forum and was hoping for some specific input on this car. It's a two-owner car with 93,000 miles. Current owner has owned for about 2 years and put about 4,000 miles on the car. He initially drove the car as a DD for four months before getting a Dodge Magnum, religating the Jag to secondary car status. First owner had the car maintained (supposedly fastidiously) at Galpin. CO doesn't have any of PO's maintenance docs. Haven't pulled a car fax. Car has been a southern CA car since new.
Test drove the car this past weekend. Pulled nicely up through the gears. No wierd noises, pulling, coasting, idling, or otherwise. Car has only a couple of minor dings in driver side rear quarter. Interior is nice but needs a good detailing. Noticed the grill chrome has a bit of bubbling/delamination on the upper edge. Engine bay looks fairly clean. CO has had new pads, rotors and calipers recently installed. Asking price is $8,300.
Not a lot of wagons out there for comps so curious as to thoughts on price. KBB lists as $8,900 - $9,300 for VG to Exlnt condition. Buyer has had for sale for 6+ months.
Thanks for thoughts.
Chris
