Question about quality parts
Hello forum,
My recent trip to the Jag dealership for a new battery also shed some light on another repair that they recommend; replacing my ball joints. So, instead of having the shop do this repair (to the tune of $1200) I thought it would be rewarding to do this myself, with an assist from Thermo who lives in my neck of the woods. Gracias Thermo!
I have already contacted Nalley Jag, and they're supposed to get back to me with a price quote. However, in my research I came across these and am wondering if folks on this forum (who are much more experienced than I am) would have anything to say about the quality of those parts. I'd need one for each side of the car and the savings to me would be about $200.
Would I be just as ok buying those parts as I would be buying the parts from Jag? Any suggestions? Thanks guys/gals.

Andahion, from the looks of what I can tell, that is a remanufacturered version of the factory part. I say buy it and go from there. When it comes to rubber parts (what wears out on these pieces), things are going to be fairly even. So, buy away.
those are new and since theyre bilsteins I'de also venture to say theyre the OEM supplier to Jaguar since they supply alot of atuff to jag like air springs, shocks, and other suspension items with THEIR name on them. Some say jaguar but as many of you know Jaguar does not make parts, they assemble parts.
Brutal,
I'm very happy that you responded. I wanted to flat out ask if a certified tech would comment, but didn't want to put anyone in an uncomfortable spot seeing as I'll likely purchase these and not the ones from the dealer.
My warmest thanks to you.
