Default rear brake caliper

Hi I broke the bottom bolt, the one with the rubber bush on it, when changing the discs Has anyone got a part number or any idea where to get one from?

I live in Birmingham (England)

Thanks

Steve, if you have an 02-04, the part number that you need is C2S18009. Not seeing a number for the kit to fit the 05+ vehicles. But, I am sure that your local dealership will have the kit (called a brake hardware kit). But then, you can also go to your local hardware store and get yourself a basic metric bolt and slide it in inplace of the bolt with the extra stud on it. The piece that mounts on that stud is only for noise reduction and it does very little of that in my opinion.

Thanks Thermo, it is an 04 2.0d and I wondered what the rubber was for as it just hangs in space.

Steve: The wheel circled in red I guess is the rubber part you describe "hanging in space". Thermo is right - it's a noise dampener of questionable value.

If the mounting bolt should loosen (as one did on my X-Type), you'll hear an annoying "clunk" on every bump. Two solutions: remove the rubber wheel, or tighten the mounting bolt.

Here's the Jaguar EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) view. You can download a free copy from the "How To / Quick Links" page, top listing:

Thanks for your help I managed to get the stud drilled and tapped and have been able to refit it with no problems or cost
