I have this coolant steel pipe spout leaking and one of the bolts is hidden under the cylinder head and nothing can reach it, no wrench or socket. Is there any way to get it out?

Blaydes99 so it has been 9 years since this was done? Do you still have the X-type and is it still running well? I am getting ready to do this job. I was just going to replace coils and plugs but, I am going to replace that knock sensor since the engine will be open. do you only have to drain the coolant when replacing the knock sensor? I hadn't read anywhere about the coolant on replacing the plugs. thanks again for the great step by step info.

The X-type was running like a dream after the spark plugs and knock sensor replacement, but a few years ago we had an accident on the highway and the car was unfortunately totaled. Still have the Jaguar XF though, which is also running great. You are correct that you only need to drain the coolant for the knock sensor, mainly because of that last pipe that sits right on top of it. If you are doing the spark plugs only, I don't believe you'll need to drain any coolant, and will need to only remove the upper and lower intakes (and air box, etc... the usual stuff).

Seems like it is compatible with the X-type from what I can tell. Just watch out depending on if you have a 2.5 or 3.0 engine to ensure it will work.

Default Knock sensor.

I got to the knock sensor under the fuel rail on my 06 X Type and got the bolt out. Where does the other end plug ? I can't move it or trace it.
