The "cruise not available" should only show up if you are in limp mode. After you've changed the PCV hose you may have a lit CEL for a few more starts but if you've solved the vacuum leak, your dash reading should go back to normal. Do you perhaps have another leak? IMT valve o-rings, brake booster hose?

You might hear a sucking sound...but the dealer's usually change all the parts that Mohrd had mentioned to ensure they get all the possible leaks.

POS is a generally accepted jargon abbreviation. Colt was just letting you know what the abbreviation stands for, he didn't call it that himself.

At this point you might want to cycle through some starts with the car and see if the CEL remains. Based on your self-rating on the automotive skill scale, perhaps it's time to call for some professional assistance if the light remains.

Here is the (IMT valves) otherwise known as Throttle Control Valves..like Jagtech said, the old "O rings" are yellow and prone to leaking, the new ones are Green.

If you do give it a go, good luck. You can't learn if you don't try. With the good folks on the board for help, I bet you can do the job. You might want to photo document your progress in case you get stuck in a spot, then post the pics and we'll try to steer you the right way.

Hope you get your Cat back up to top shape.

I will add..you will not be able to get the bottom IMT out all the way..but you will be able to slip the O rings over the front with a little stretching.
