Default Replaced Cooling Fan Control Module

I replace the cooling fan control module today. I bought a salvaged complete cooling fan assembly last week from a yard in MA forless than1/3 cost ofnew. I only used the control module since that is all that was bad on mine so I have the fans and shroud for future use. It took about an hour to make the switch. I had to remove the battery and case, also the filter box then I was able to squeeze my hand in to unplug the fans &harness from the control module. Put everything back together started the engine, turned on the A/C let it warmup and walla! the fans came on. Didn't know til the fans were running if I'd made a good purchase online. The salvage yard had stated that the fans were working before tear down, but you never know when buying sight unseen with used items. Luck was with me this time. This unit was out of a 2004 X-type and was the same version as my 2003 according to the lable on it. Wiring connecters were the same also.
Now I'm almost done with my to do list. I've done the rear brakes, replaced the tires and now replaced the cooling fan control module which went out this spring. We bought the car last year and the fan module is the only break down we've had. The only thing left is to change the coolant which I'm planning to do next week.
Still have a couple of minor things to do but no real rush on them. Need to fix the vanity mirror on the pax side, the spring that holds the cover closed isn't holding. Also the one touch doesn't always work for the pax side widows from the master switches on the drivers door.
Anybody know how to get the switch panel out of the door? I printed out the fix for the vanity mirror that was posted here, thank you to whoever posted it.

Do you have a fan control module available? for a 2003 Xtype 2.5. If so please email me at gene@streamlinesolutions.cc or call me at 386-366-2323.

Thanks,

Gene

Lbarnes, The fans should run for a few minutes after the engine is shut off if the engine is up to operating temperature. Relax and enjoy your ride!
