Default Sat Nav Help!

Evening Gents,

I am encountering problems with the Sat Nav fitted to my 08 X Type Sport Premium. When I attempt to put in a post code it states that the data base doesn't recognise it?

I have tried different post codes and most are established codes so I would think the data base would recognise them? I have looked at the settings and all seems to be in order. The disc I believe states 2007-2008.

I am new to Jaguar ownership so any advice would be appreciated

Many Thanks,

Hi had the same problem with mine at first. Have you tried the postcode with or without the space. From memory it works one way but cannot remember which. I will have a look at mine in the morning.
Regards

Hi
Yes I have tried using a space and it still struggles to find anything. I have better luck if I use the street name though. Anyway thanks for help.

Hi Paul
Just had a go with my satnav and the postcode search works (with a space) although it would not find my old works postcode but this may have changed.
I have the latest maps which I think are 2011/12.
Regards
Steve

Thanks for that. I am going to try and source an updated disc 11/12 if I can. Not sure of anyone who sells them? I guess main dealer would be a ridiculous price.

I had that until I checked the map area being used. Mine had defaulted to the Netherlands. Put it to UK and worked fine.

Its in the settings somewhere, I think you need to press the menu button. Its below the screen next to the volume knob.
