Default Sat-Nav touchscreen install question

What’s up guys. I have the basic radio in my 2006 Xtype. I see on eBay many sat nav touchscreen radios for sale. What would it take to swap out my non touch screen head unit to the touchscreen version please ? Thx

NYCJAG, in short, finding a wrecked X-Type that has the SAT-NAV system in it and then start swapping interior components. There is a lot more to the system than just the radio. For example, you are going to end up replacing the whole cooling system on the interior of the car as the actuators and whatnot are different and are treated differently by the SAT-NAV system. Then you have the wiring harnesses, the various electronics modules that get fitted throughout the car. As you can see, this is not a simple undo a plug, move a few wires around, plug in the new radio. I think one guy on here has done the conversion and made it work 100%. Many have tried.

Honestly, your best bet would be to find an aftermarket Double DIN radio that has all the features you want and install that. Going to be easier and most likely cheaper too.
