If you want to spend the cash, and if you can find one, get the ACM. It allows you to play your iPod, plug in any accessories via RCA jacks (satellite?) and has a USB input to play music from a USB stick.
Unfortunately due to the fiber optic system Jags have there is no splicing. You have to buy the Jag parts.
Cost for a new ACM, and they are still around for the X Type, is around $430ish. Relatively easy install also. All plug-and-play. And there is updated software around so the latest iPods will work.
