Default Suicide mission

So after much contemplation I have decided to turn the rear doors of my X type in to suicide rear doors...found a kit for about four bills.so i'm just gonna look into installation around here now..Dont want to shave the rear door handels ..or relocate them so some thinking is in order..May be a can of worms but we'll see. This will be the final thing on my list of mods..Now i know some of you are scratching ur head, but hey it's not lambo doors..lol..kind of a hidden mod..that will impress when i there opened.I will unveil as promised in spring early summer.Anyone got any thoughts. As well i have decided to go with a green carbon fiber interior trim kit..again i know you may think WTF but it will look classy, when done as I'm only using certain peices as to not over kill my interior..

I second the request for pictures. I would like to see the green micro too. If it looks good, it may be a consideration down the road. Drinkin? Always an idea.

I'm not feeling it. The door jams always look like *** on aftermarket suicide kits.

What about the handles? i think leaving them in place would make it funny to pull open the door. What about putting them in front of the door? or inside the door jam? That would look bad ***!

Either way, good luck! post pics!!

use door poppers and just disable the handles... its probably the easiest thing to do if you cant figure out how to set up the handles so they work.
ive never done any door modifications but suicide doors just look impossible...
i do think they look good if done right, especially on older caddys or even the 2000ish devilles.

The way the doors are shaped on our cars will make this look like poop. You'd have to relocate the door handles or shave them and use poppers for it to work decently. I'm in for pics though if you decide to do it. Personally I just don't think the juice is worth the squeeze on this mod....

20 bucks says he doesn't go through with it. I'll pay up when I'm Vegas in March if you take the bet, Allen.

I might throw in an aditional $10 if he would do that trunk modification like what is shown in that picture you posted.

Oh god I remember when people were selling that "flip trunk mod" on eBay and all you'd get was a set of hinges from home depot! Hahaha

I think it would be interesting to have something like Pimp My Ride Revisited to see what some of those pimped out cars look like today. Did the users keep them up, did some of those ridiculous modifications hold up over time or were ever even used, did the owners keep them up...you get the idea. I thought the vast majority of the stuff they did on there was either ugly or impractical, but I'm a jaded old white guy.

I just want to know how many days the LCD screens in the bumpers lasted. It reminds me of the "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop" ads.

Of course all of the motorization would have suffered, too. Longevity is not the friend of pimping.

A lot of people ended up selling them on eBay.. There was an '84 Maxima stationwagon that they painted black with mustard yellow flames that some idiot bought on ebay for like $28k........... That's enough to get you into a pretty nice, decent normal person car. I'd sell the crap out a pimp my ride project too.
