I did this today also, in the dark and it worked. AWESOME!!!
I did not remember the exact sequence so I just pushed and held as I drove and wala.

Hey guys. Had this XJR for abt 4 mo now...weather is BEGGING for open roof. However, guy I bought it from had unplugged it because he said it kept coming off track. I plugged it back in because I want dome lights. I am too chicken to try the roof though. If it comes off track, is that a nightmare or a minor inconvenience? I'm dying to try it...but should I just leave well-enough alone?
