Yes, I do believe I saw a few for sale years ago, but I think they are pretty rare. If you're picky (like I am), it might take a very long time to find a 3.0 manual with the colors you want.

Yes there are a few, at least in the N Georgia area. I found 2 within 100 miles using a used car web site. I found a sport model for a great price in middle TN and bought it almost immediately. As was said, they can be difficult to find. I have also seen some for sale listed on Craigslist.

They are apparently really rare in the US, but they aren't an impossible find here in Europe. I'd say 20-30% of the 3.0 cars here are manuals.

They are rare, but out there. Plus, 2005 was the last year they were offered in the States.

Yeah only the wagons came auto only, at least in the US. But finding a 3.0 5 speed sedan is hard here too. I gave up and got a 2.5 because it was the color I wanted.

I wish I had bought a sport model, if I had known about them, since they come with the lowered springs and some have the body kits as an option... A manual would be cool too but I like not shifting sometimes.

To be honest, I think I may have one of the more rare x-types out there. It's and 02 5spd sport 3.0 with factory nav, factory stability control (winter weather package) and has every other option that these things were offered with. It took me 8 months to find this one, and I had to fly to Washington to get it! haha

I can attest to that. When I was looking for mine it took me about 6 months. It had to have the Aruba wheels and the carbon fiber/alcantara interior, which meant it had to be a 2005. I believe Jaguar only sold like 11,000 X-types that year and I would guess of that maybe 10% were manuals and of that a smaller portion were 3.0 liter cars and of that an even smaller amount had the carbon fiber dash. Found mine about 500 miles away and it has everything except the Nav system, which in hindsight might not be the worst thing as it is one less thing to go wrong and my cell phone has a great free Google app for that and it is always up to date. I would guess my car is maybe 1 of a 100 or so outfitted the way it is that year. Not that it is worth anything because of that, but fun knowing you won't see one like it every day.

Yep.
2004 3.0 Sport Manual.
I've seen some other 3.0 Manual Xs, and I'd not call them that rare actually.

I have a 3.0 '05 manual. Dumb luck that I found it 30 miles away on my initial search in the color and trim I wanted. Most of the time I enjoy the stick shift, but when in traffic it's gets a bit tedious. Looking forward to my next vehicle which will be an automatic.

Thanks, guys!
If I need to replace my 2.5 engine, I'll buy 3.0. They are easier to find and most likely 2.5 and 3.0 are completely identical except bore. 3.0 is possibly lighter.
