looking for part name that thermostat bolts onto on jaguar xtype 2.5litre petrol 2001 saloon.

 

I believe it's called the radiator top hose, which includes the thermostat assembly. The JLR part number is C2S43430 available from SNG Barratt for about £90, inclusive of VAT:

I have a new thermostat for my jag but a bolt broke as I removed the old one so I need the part that you bolt that thermostat into.ok.My jag is 2001 xtype v6 petrol.

 

The top radiator hose NBCat linked to should be the complete thermostat assembly. Which part is broken?

From your view of engine it looks like it is number 1 I need as bolt snapped inside of connection of thermostat to the top hoses shown on your diagram.thanks for your help.

 

The link to S N G Barratt that NBCat gave in post #2 shows OE Jaguar and aftermarket options.
