Bummer dude. What did that mechnic friend say about the car? Sometimes the noises are just bushings and minor things.

But anyway, I'm sure you made the decision that you felt was in the best interest of your family and situation. Maybe next time!

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Maybe that explains why it never sold.

You made a good decision if you want a car that will not nickle and dime you. JMO.

No offense to Jaguar owners, I wanted this car so BAD , but we are very sad to see how badly this awesome car has been treated (my step mother has been driving this car since new)

I figure out that the Jag. was going to be trouble sooner or later, suspension, wheels, tires, alignment issues, overall it wasn't as good as the Toyota.

We really like the quality and finish of the Jag, but my wife was concerned about a few strange noises and that took all the interest in the Jag. from her.

Thank you everybody...

I hate to see this opportunity drive away like this.

.

I would never ever trade, good thing you didn't .. I have a 73 toyota coupe and a jaguar x type.. the jaguar goes first before my toyota.. the jag has been a problem car from the start and i must say once is gone i will never buy one again. I have over 300K on my toyota and the only major issue i had was a valve cover leak. shoots i still have my original starter.

yeah I'm sure the '73 toyota is more luxurious, better looking, faster, stronger, more prestigious, and gets you all the ladys. I mean why have a Jag when you can have the toyota?

I certainly know which one I would hope to occupy when run over by a soccer mom talking on the phone in her Escalade.

Vince, I gotta ask: If you love(d) that Toyota soooo much when it came time to get another car why did you buy the Jag and not another Toyota in the first place? Why not just get another '73 Toyota coupe? Couldn't afford it and had to settle for the Jag?

I thought you new.

I'd go for the ultra plush 73 Datsun though if I had unlimited funds. They just don't make them like they used to. All these electronics and gizmos... BAH! In my day we had carburators and they didn't work with elevation changes and we'd get out and adjust the air/fuel mixture with a flathead screwdriver. AND WE LIKED IT!
