Get under the hood again, and look closely at EVERY wiring connection, plug, cable, just spend an hour and look at everything. Study everything you see, and look for something out of place.
Personally, I think you just accidentally caused something to unplug. Jiggle everything, spray a shot of WD-40 on and into all the wiring connections, etc.
Hey - are you sure the battery cables are on the right posts?
It's bound to be something quite simple, and likely free to fix.
