found two loose wires... a black one and a red one just behind the OBD port..........any thoughts?.....

OBD connector should have black wires into pins 4 and 5, both ground connections. There is a white/red wire to pin 9. No solid red wires to the OBD port per the electrical manual I have for Model Year 2005.

I would tape or heat shrink the end of any loose wire to prevent accidental shorting.
