NOthing to do with your car, but i found this:

Front Axle Shafts - Check Retention In CV Joint - Service Action S930 This Service Action applies to unsold X-TYPE vehicles only. Issue: During the manufacturing process it is possible that the front axle shafts may have been disturbed. As a result the splined end may not be fully engaged in the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint resulting in a loud knocking noise. Action: Inspect all unsold X-TYPE vehicles within the above VIN range to determine if the front axle shafts are fully engaged. If one or both axle shafts are not engaged in the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint, attempt to re-install the shaft by pushing it back in. If the axle shaft does not lock back into place, install a new axle shaft.

Only one reference in alldata and it's to an outer seal. No inner seal. Removal is like any other halfshaft.
