Vacuum Hose
I have a split in the vacuum hose that runs from front to back under the plastic cover on top of the engine of my 2002 X Type. (The cover with three screws that you have to take off the oil filler cap, to remove). The pipe is about 8 inches long and about 3/4 inch wide. I've fixed it temporarily with tape but want to order a new one. Can anyone advise part number or description. Also is it a special Jaguar part or will any hose of the right diameter be OK?
Tim, if you go to your local dealership, they should have them behind the counter. Common part to be replaced. You can try your local auto parts store, they will probably tell you that they don't have the part. If they say that, tell them you have the same year Lincoln LS with the 3.0L engine. That should get you the part you need.
FYI, you can find them on e-bay as this listing shows: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-X-Ty...gAAOSw44BYGNsc
