Values and resale time sensitive
Alright guys looking for a good resale value on my british racing green 2002 x-type sport ive gone through all 12 intake gaskets both imt seals done the oil pressure sender the serpentine belt the transmission has been totally rebuilt a couple years back the ignition coils all replaced in the last year spark plugs fuel filter while trans was being rebuilt installed a new torque converter breather hose and pcv replaced/upgraded ripped hose valve cover gaskets done in the last 2 years brake vacuum sensor (cant remember its name) replaced black rectangular thing connecting vacuum from intake to brakes the car is awesome but i dont want to be that guy that thinks his car is worth the moon so seeing as how i paid $1500 for it stuck in third gear and everything mentioned needing to be done it is needing one headlight and panel or hood hit a small deer at a very low speed but enough to Wrinkle the metal around the headlight interior is as expected x types interiors dont last my question to you fine folk, is it unreasonable to think its worth at least $2000? Ill never recoupe what i put in but running driving condition might need an outter tie rod the wife hit a bad pot hole so it wobbles now on the highway the trans hasnt even seen 15,000 with the brand new clutch packs any insight from the experts would be very much appreciated as im trying to settle a debate on listing price I apologize if i seem scattered 😅

Love, if you were to go to a car lot and purchase a car like yours, you could expect to pay about $2800 (fair condition). Being that it is sounding like you are looking ot sell it youself, that normally knocks a little bit off of the price. So, getting say $2500 would not be unheard of. Besides, with the work you have done, for someone that is looking for a car that has been taken care of, you can expect to get a bit more than other people will get. BUt, as the old saying goes, it is only as valuable as the person looking to buy it thinks it is worth.

Should have listed it for around $2800 or $2900 to give yourself some negotiation room to get down to the price you want.
you know i ended up pulling the listing till i can correct the wheel (a lot of toe in) winters gone now and its getting warm so ill align the front wheel and relist for a bit more my goal is to get it ready to be listed at $3000 and to be sold for $2800 at the least if i can get an extra $500 i want that lol and as i said before ill never recoup what ive got into it but a fair resale value is a win for everyone
