Hi guys this may sound like the dumbest question ever but how much oil should be in the valve body pan, should it cover the whole body?

 

It normally comes up Just over the trans filter, unless you are running a RWD trans like in an XK8. I would look it up though, because you can really screw the pooch with too much or too little trans fluid, in a trans. Let us know what you find, because I am looking at a fluid and filter change too, pretty soon......Be cool...Mike

 

Hi I'm not sure we are on about the same bit I'm talking about the cover over the solenoid pack,if we are on about the same bit where is the filter? I've had an issue with solenoid B constant p0778 code even after a new gear box change I've checked every wire between the solenoid and the tcm and all is fine I just can not rid this fault. The guys who changed the gear box reckons they changed this solenoid twice so I have no idea on this fault its sending me mad
