Default Valve shims

Hi,
As I'm currently under engine rebuild project time has come to heads.
And the problem I'm faced with are valve clearance adjustment shims, SNG Barratt and similar sites don't have many sizes available or charge up to 55$ for single shim.
does somebody know if they fit from some other engine?
Is there a way to find catalog with INA codes? INA was original producer.
Any other place that stocks 30mm shims?

many thanks!

As an info for other facing this same problem, Home have 30mm shims with reasonable prices and international delivery.
I could not find any other engine that uses 30mm shims.

Found plenty of 29,5mm shims for motorcycles. There must be some other engines that use 30mm, but it's hard to find them.
As this is complete engine overhaul, with new valves among the other things. I didn't wont to risk problems in the future with grinding top of the valves and exposing softer material as you mentioned.

I am not going to tell you how I adjust clearance with buckets w/o replacing them, figure it out! Have fun!!!
BTW, why did you replace all valves? there was only one engine when I had to do that, all 16 valves were damaged. Usually 1-3 valves are bent

Why are you being such an arsehole? What with referring everybody else's questions to Dell and then the above statement. I recognise that Dell can sometimes come across as a bit condescending, but also think that he gets annoyed at some of the questions here that obviously don't have any search background and expect him to do all the work (often repeated previously). If he upset you, I can understand why that happened from reading all the posts where you ignored his first advice. Get over it any way you can, but don't sabotage this forum. Dell has assisted me each time I have asked for advice and I have benefitted from the learning.

Moron! Can you say something w/o insulting? Is that too complicated for you?
I will still explain:
Mechanics do things different way sometimes. Obviously, every mechanic believes his way is better, that is why they do it in such way. Some mechanics can do same thing faster and cheaper. I guess Dell is a Jaguar guy, so he definitely knows more about Jaguars. What is your problem with me? I am trying to help people and it backfires. I should probably stop doing that. Anyway my X is pretty much done with all mechanical/electrical problems. My next Jaguar is XK8, not sure when I will start fixing it.

Moron? Who is insulting? If you want to compare intelligences with me, I reckon you are too poorly equipped. Now explain why you did direct all other people's queries to Dell, without any intelligent comment, and why you didn't share your "method" of adjusting bucket clearances, but want other people's advice (which you seem to have ignored).
