Default What is this sticker under the hood?

This is under the hood of my '05 X-Type, I've had the car for a few months now and have always wondered what it means.

If anyone knows what it could be, I'd be interested to find out

(Sorry if the picture is a bit blurry, the lens on the iPhone 4 scratches way too easily)

Can its purpose not be discerned from the large blue writing? The sticker itself seems to be some official Jag form that says something along the lines of "Authorized Modification" and I'm guessing the 3/09 refers to March 2009. This car is a 2005 and I didn't own it in 2009.

If a clearer picture is necessary, I can take one with my camera in a few hours

Without seeing the pic, it sounds like a TSB update. I have one in my 2007 dated 6/09 for a ECM & TCM reconfiguration.

Trust us there is no pic, I think you have linked to a site requiring a login.

I can see the pic. Have no idea what does it mean though. I have a similar sticker (but not sure what is written on it, as never paid attention to it since it was done by Jag).

For those who have problems with seeing the pic that should help

I can see the pic now. Looks like TSB J004 was incorporated.

Thanks guys. What exactly was the purpose of the reconfiguration? Was there some sort of fault that had to be addressed?

EMISSIONS RECALL J004: Revised On-Board Diagnostic System Software
Something to do with a number of emission regulations non-compliance issues relating to the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system function covering thermostat diagnostic, calibration verification, in-use monitor performance ratio.
Don't know exactly what it means.

Hmm, well if it's a recall that's been addressed then I guess I needn't worry about it.

Thanks for the replies everyone
