I would like to know where to buy it.. etc. Or even information on it. I think it would be a nice modification to my xtype. Thanks
Jayson

Jayson, those are referred to as wheel vents. The X-Type never came with those. So, you are going to have to order one for an XJ8 and then hope that the curve on the backside is close enough.

Look up posts from an old member on here by the name of "exepat". He had put those on his car. I am not sure, but I think he used ones from an XF. Might have explained the part number and how he did it. He had a really nice car. Was constantly putting on different kinds of wheels and made a ton of modifications to his car.

I think exepat's side vents were a bit wierd looking (m.h.o.). IF the chrome ones fit nicely and someone liked that particular mod, I'd go that way.

Notice that the ebay ones DO NOT include the "Jaguar" insert plate (this is already there on the car). There is another style, where you see the logo is in place initially =

I think the OEM ones were body colored as original =

I really like the style right up above on that silver Jag..
I already picked out my rims, Hid H1 lights. Tint etc.. just really want the same Side vents on that silver jag.

Where can you pick that set up.. ?
I found these not sure they will fit.

Here's a post on removal of OEM colored side vents and replacement with chrome. Gives you an idea of how they are slightly recessed and how many "holding" pin holes there are.
