Default Where does this go??

Kicked off my annual spring cleaning ritual this past weekend with the engine bay. As I was looking around, I noticed an electric plug that was just laying around. I've been under that hood MANY time as I work on the car myself, but I've never noticed this plug before. Any idea what it's for? It's located right behind the battery housing.

Just ignore it. It was plugged into the battery isolation device that was remove before the car was sold.

Ah, thanks Bob. You'd think they would have at least put a $.05 cap on it or something.

The battery box itself has a dummy receptacle on the back side that the connector plugs into.

Just to clarify; the receptacle is not on the battery, but the plastic box with lid that the battery sits inside.

I'm following you. I removed the plastic box completely to clean it cause my battery was leaking. Thx for clarifying
