worn inner edge of rear tires 2004 Xtype

I suspect your rear control arm bushings are worn it's a very common problem with '04 and '05 cars, at least. Have you had a four wheel alignment done lately. I'd bet they'd tell you that they were unable to fully align the rear wheels.
Fairly cheap and easy fix, now. Used to be expensive when the bushings couldn't be replaced and the entire control arm had to be replaced at about $400/arm from the dealer. Less expensive now, but I'm not sure if it's because the bushings themselves are serviceable now or if the price of the control arms has come down to earth.
Get it aligned and see what the shop says.

skippy, take your car for a drive and find a sweeping corner to either direction that is a 25mph corner. In the middle of the corner, give the car a little bit of gas and see if the rear end feels like it is going to slide out to the side of you (it won't, but you will feel it move to the side). If you feel this, then it is your lower control arm. New ones are around $100 each through jagparts.com. Nalley should be able to get you the same arms for roughly the same price too. Replacing them take about an hour per side. Remove 2 bolts, the arm slides out, put in new arm and put in 2 bolts. NOt that difficult.

Skippy, yes, a new alignment will be needed as the previous alignment probably had the wheels brought in a little bit. So, plan on the extra $80 or so for that. As for the lower rear control bars, that appears to be the correct part. Don't forget, you will need 2 of these. Through "Jaguar Parts" - Jaguar parts and accessories catalog, the bars are $102.38 each (they call the bars "rear lateral bars") with $10.24 per bar in shipping. To get that price, you have to do everything via the internet. If you call the dealership, then the price goes up some. But, even the list price is only $120.
