I would check your vacuum lines especially on your brake booster. It could also be a safety feature and there is a missing sensor. Is your check engine light on? If it is, you should read your codes and post them in the forums and we should be able to pinpoint it much easier.

Thanks and yes i do have an engine light that i cannot read with my innova 3100.But when its given gas it flashes, engine sputters then dies.I had some problems with the engine harness (junk yard part) can you tell me where exactly in faq i can find a wiring diagram? And could the brake problem be related to the ecu in some way?

mazo, save yourself a headache and just buy a code reader that can read jaguar codes. If you have an android, get the torque app and the elm327 bluetooth adapter. All that cost me around $20 and it reads all of my jaguar codes and it even gives me real time data. If you don't have an android, connect your computer to this adapter: OBD2 OBDII V1.5 ELM327 USB CAN BUS Auto Interface Diagnose Software For VW BMW | eBay

All I can tell you is that if your CEL is on, it could mean thousands of things. Luckily, if you read the codes, it will narrow the search because the computer already knows what's wrong and understands why the car is dying when you give it gas.
